Springtime is here and our yard needed some attention. We made a family trip to Home Depot for some supplies. We let Boston pick out some flowers, helped him plant them and then let him soak in the fruits of his labor. He's so proud of the flowers that he picked out and planted. Plus, our yard looks a little more colorful in the process. Win, win all around.

Carey turned the DIRTY THIRTY!
I'm WAY behind on my blogging these days, but better late than never, right. So, in Februrary, yes, February I kissed my twenties good-bye, but I sure had fun in the process. We spent the weekend in Durhamtown.
We rented the 3 bedroom/2 bath "Feed Barn" for 2 nights. It was no 4 star hotel but we got some good laughs out of it. It was dirty and rustic to say the least. Toilets didn't always flush, it took 5 minutes for a quick spurt of hot water to come out of the faucets and no central heating/air. One of the bedroom doors actually fell off of the hidges! But it had an awesome fire pit in the back yard! The first night Tina, Justin, Shelley and Andy spent the night. The next day, we rode 4-Wheelers with Andy and Shelley and had an absolute blast!

This is me and Shelley trying to get unstuck. Man, it was muddy fun.
By the end of the day, we were COVERED in mud. I ended up cutting my losses and throwing my jeans away. No worries, they were my least favorite pair.
Check out the caked MUD. I wasn't kidding when I said that I wanted to get "dirty" when I turn thirty.
Me and my muddy hubby.
After our 4-Wheeling adventures, the Hoffmeyers and Caldwells met up with us at the barn for an evening celebration. We played games, cooked our dinner over a bonfire and made smores. It was a super-fabulous birthday.
